Toddler Tunes

Toddler Tunes lays the foundation for future musical learning as the first step in Harmony Road’s layered curriculum. It introduces young children to melodic, rhythmic, and harmonic concepts through singing, movement, activity songs, and interactive keyboard games. Many of the songs from Toddler Tunes later appear in Harmony Road’s piano/keyboard books!

The program encourages parents and caregivers to actively participate in music-making, creating a bonding experience and motivating daily musical activities at home. Toddler Tunes exposes children to various musical styles, including traditional songs, folk music, classical melodies, ragtime, jazz, and Broadway tunes.

 

It also explores different meters, helping children develop a strong sense of rhythm, which supports early reading skills. Additionally, the program provides ear training through a variety of key centers and modes, building a foundation for future musical creativity and playing.
